Carpools UAE ("we", "us") arranges tours and attractions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with transport by car. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website or book with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle your information in line with UAE law.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to arrange your tour. When you use a booking form or send us a request, this can include:
- your name and WhatsApp mobile number;
- the tour or tours you choose, the car you choose and the number of guests;
- pick-up and drop-off locations, and the dates and times of your tour;
- any notes you choose to add;
- payment confirmation, such as the receipt or screenshot you send us after paying;
- only if you accept optional cookies: technical and usage information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, actions on the site and the site you came from (see section 5).
We do not ask for, or see, your card number. Card payments are made on the secure page of our payment provider.
2. How booking details reach us
This website does not store your booking details on a server or in a database. When you press the button to send a booking or request, the details are placed in a WhatsApp message that you send to us yourself. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.
3. How we use your information
- to confirm, schedule and carry out your tour, and to contact you about it;
- to share your pick-up details, time and contact number with the driver assigned to your tour;
- to match your payment to your booking and to handle refunds or queries;
- to provide quotes you ask for;
- to keep our business and accounting records and to meet legal obligations;
- to deal with complaints, safety matters and disputes;
- only if you accept optional cookies: to understand how the website is used, to improve it, and to measure and show our adverts.
Our legal basis for using your booking details is that we need them to provide the service you asked for and to meet our legal duties. Our legal basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not use your booking details for marketing messages unless you ask us to, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share it with
- Drivers and operations staff, only the details needed to carry out your tour.
- Nomod, our payment provider, when you pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tabby or Tamara. Their privacy policy applies to the payment information you give them.
- Aani and Careem Pay and the banks behind them, when you pay by sending money to our mobile number.
- WhatsApp (Meta), as the channel you use to message us.
- Google and Meta, if you accept optional cookies, for analytics and advertising measurement (see section 5).
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising tools
Essential. We store your cookie choice (Accept or Reject) in your browser so we do not ask you again on every visit. This is not used to track you.
Optional, only if you click Accept. We may use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel. They place cookies and collect information such as the pages you view, the buttons you press (for example, starting a booking or opening a payment page), your device and browser type, your approximate location based on your IP address, and the site you came from. We use this to understand how the site is used, to improve it, and to measure and show our adverts. We do not send your booking addresses to these tools. Google and Meta process this information under their own privacy policies and may store it outside the UAE.
Server-side measurement (Meta Conversions API). If you click Accept, our website server may also send the same events to Meta, so that our adverts can be measured accurately. When you submit a booking this includes the booking value, your approximate device information, and your phone number and name in encrypted (hashed) form, which Meta uses only to match the event to its own users. We never send your pick-up or drop-off addresses. If you click Reject, none of this is sent.
If you click Reject, these tools do not run and no optional cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the page, and you can also clear cookies in your browser settings or use the ad-settings controls offered by Google and Meta.
Fonts and links. To display text correctly, the page loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers and your IP address is visible to them. Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp and our payment page open in a new tab, and those sites have their own cookie and privacy practices.
6. Customer reviews
The reviews shown on this website come from our Google reviews. Where a customer's name or profile picture appears, it is shown with that customer's agreement. If you are shown here and would like your review, name or picture removed, message us and we will remove it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your booking information for as long as we need it to provide the service, handle payments, refunds and complaints, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that we delete it or remove anything that identifies you. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it or change it.
8. Keeping it safe
We limit access to booking details to the people who need them to run your tour, and we keep the devices and accounts we use to receive bookings protected. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us card numbers or other sensitive details over WhatsApp.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct information that is wrong or out of date, delete your information where we are not required to keep it, stop using your information for a purpose you did not agree to, and withdraw your consent to analytics and advertising cookies at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the page.

10. Children
Our services are for adults. If a child under 18 travels, the booking should be made by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the details given.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Using the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
